With iOS 15, in addition to allowing us to create and manage groups of tabs, Apple Safari redesigned on iPhone with a new search bar and new tools. An interesting design, practical for many and impractical for others. Fortunately, you can change the position of the bar very, very easily.
Rise or descent depending on each moment
The position of the Safari tab, search and toolbar on the iPhone was already a source of controversy during the development of iOS 15 and in fact its design was made optional. Now, with the system already well established and waiting for the presentation of iOS 16 in less than two months, the topic continues to generate diverse opinions
Fortunately, moving the bar up or down is fairly simple. One option is to access the app Settings from our iPhone, enter Safari and choose between tab bar (bottom) the a single tab (top), but there is another way to do it.
From the same Safari, we simply touch the an A-shaped button on the bar and choose between show bottom bar the Show bar above. Thus, depending on the needs of the moment, we can place the bar where it suits us best.
Recall that in addition to aesthetics, the toolbar and search bar located at the bottom allows us to access the different tabs
So if we prefer the toolbar and the search at the top, but at some point we need to quickly browse through several tabs, we can use the option we have just seen to move the bar down. In the end, few things are more helpful in reconciling two options than giving the ability to switch easily from one to the other and according to our needs.
