Copy iOS 16 Photo Editing

iOS 16 has integrated many features requested by users. Among them the ability to change the lock screen. In fact, the lock screen has exceeded all expectations and takes iPhone customization to the next level. Little by little we will see all the news that Apple has registered for us since not all the news has been included in this first beta for developers. They also added small features in some apps like the ability to copy formats from one image to paste onto another directly from the Photos app,

some sort of massive image editor.

Apple improves Photos app in iOS 16

Photos had a big presence in the WWDC22 keynote. Good news has arrived, such as the ability to add a lock with Face ID or Touch ID to the recently deleted folder. Traversal functionality has also been added, such as the ability to remove the background and select a certain element of an image and port it to another application without releasing it. A success for the most DIY enthusiasts.

Little by little we know all the functions that did not have so much presence in the WWDC22. Among them we find this option that we are talking about today. With iOS16 you can copy the format of one image and paste it into another.

Let’s take an example. We went on an excursion and took about twenty photos at sunset. Since we want all images to have the same style, We are going to edit a first image with the filters and edits we want. All from the Photos app.

Once the editing is done, we will click on the ‘…’ in the upper right part of the image and click on ‘Copy editing’. At this time we will have to enter the image that we want to edit with the same parameters as the first one that we edited. And once inside, we repeat the situation. Click on the ‘…’ and now click on ‘Paste Edit’. At this moment, the second image will change the edit parameters to match those added in the first.

This couldn’t be done before and had to be done through external apps that allow bulk editing. Thanks to this, lovers of images and especially editing with the Photos application will not need third-party applications.
