The company founded by Carl Pei after leaving OnePlus, Nothing, started its journey with headphones, the Nothing Ear (1), but it has already confirmed what will be its next big launch: the Nothing Phone (1), su primer smartphone. This phone, which has raised high expectations, will bring its own layer, Nothing OS, on board.

Luckily for us, the Nothing launcher beta landed on Google Play a few days ago, so some users have already been able to test it out. Now the company has launched a beta update which comes with an important novelty: it is already compatible with any mobile phone with Android 11 or higher.

For all mobiles with Android 11 or higher

A little less than two weeks ago, the Nothing Launcher set foot on Google Play to be able to test it before the release of the final version. To join the beta program, you did not need to download it from external websites or register anywhere, you only needed to have one of the compatible mobile phones and download the application from Google Play to install it.

And what were they? models compatible with the Nothing Launcher? Initially Samsung’s Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21, and Google’s Pixel 5 and Pixel 6, but with the promise of also reaching OnePlus models soon. But Nothing wanted to go further and, directly, I extended it to all mobile phones with Android 11 or higher.

If you have already downloaded it, also know that Nothing just released an update which, in addition to correcting several errors, adds the following new features:

• the app icon is now available on the home screen.

• New page ‘How to configure’ when you first open Nothing Launcher.

• Easier to switch to nothing wallpaper thanks to a popup.

• the link a Dropbox downloading additional wallpapers and ringtones is now in the settings at the start.

Recall that the new Nothing Launcher it’s totally free and, at the moment, it is in beta phase, so it is very likely that it will continue to evolve between now and the launch of the Nothing Phone (1) next summer. And you, have you ever tried it? You like?
