Remember when there was a Windows phone? You don't do it?! How could you not? I mean, we all had such a good time laughing! The handsets were so memorable … There was … uh, you know, the nokia something …
Well, someone in this big blue marble of a world in which we live remembers the Windows Phone. A user on Reddit who goes through OceandePTH95028 had a Windows Phone Trairé – a Nokia Lumiphone 1020 – and hacked it for it to work iOS. And by hacking, we mean that the bowels of the light have been deleted and replaced by those of an iPhone SE of the 3rd generation.
In their article Reddit, OceandePTH95028 details how the entrails of the iPhone were placed inside the body of the light. The Windows phone has been changed to adapt to the iPhone SE display, front camera, rear camera, ID key and SIM location. The lumiphone headphone jack has been sealed and the lightning port is always accessible.
Since it is an iPhone SE in a Lumiphone body, the phone “executes” iOS 18.3.1, which is the latest version of iOS. OceandePTH95028 says that the phone, that they nicknamed “Lumiphone 1020 is” how it should (except wireless charge and Apple's remuneration “.
We saw a lot of hackintoshes that were possible when Apple made Mac based on Intel. These Intel days are over and now that Apple devices work on its own silicon, we do not see a lot of apple OS hack operating on other materials. The material hacks like the Lumiphone 1020 are a kick, however, even if it means that a perfectly good iPhone was sacrificed in the process.
