Sonos thinks about it, it will no longer block old devices

Sonos Trade UP

The North American company recently launched a program that allowed us to modernize our Sonos products economically, as this "we didn't" use our old Sonos product and got a new one in exchange for a discount. However, this created a great deal of controversy because in order to use this discount it was necessary to activate the "reuse mode" on the old Sonic speaker. Now Sonos has decided to go back with the ban on older speakers and look for a solution that satisfies everyone.

Retaliation is always a win, especially when we talk about life and unnecessary waste disposal.

Sonic offers us a discount of up to 30% if we renew any of its products

As we mentioned, when you activate “reuse mode” in one of your speakers to take advantage of the app renewal, not only does all your Sonic Speaker content be removed, but it completely blocks it so you can never use it again. This is controversial, especially if you call the machine "reboot", because the old can dispose of the garbage unnecessarily,

because even if it is not renewable, the product is viable, so we will be doing the opposite of what the term renewal means.

Sonos should work and come to the conclusion that it is better not to shut down old speakers even if the process of replacing them. Now we will need to request a rebate discount on only one platform's serial number, an option that seems more reasonable than we have seen so far. Perhaps more sensible by Apple, take the old device and take care of breaking it down properly and environmentally, but this approach is of great economic value (use it at a discount) and personal (you can still enjoy the old tool).
