The actor used his Instagram account to solve the Apple Watch challenge!
When you lose your Apple Watch, you just want it back, at least that’s what most of us think. But, Hollywood actor and presenter Joel McHale turned the loss of his device into a sort of competition that has already mobilized hundreds of his followersas McHale shared on Instagram, from where he announced his idea to undertake a fun online search.
Joel McHale and the mystery of the missing Apple Watch
McHale, known for his roles in series such as “Community” and “The Bear” shared on Instagram, a screenshot of the “Find” function to recover the Apple Watch, which shows the approximate location of the Apple Watch which he lost on a plane which, to his great surprise, was in a residential area of New Jersey. In this one, offers to give the Apple Watch to whoever finds it.
The most interesting part of McHale’s offer reads:
I’m going to give you three options on the passcode and then if you’re even remotely close, it’s yours. I mean, it’s clearly yours now but it’s a fun game. Appreciate!
McHale’s post sparked all kinds of reactions among his supporters. Some were incredulous that such a personal device would be left on a plane, while others offered their theories on where it was.
There are also those who have expressed doubts about someone removing their smartwatch mid-flight. McHale didn’t offer an explanation for this, but the fact reminded us of the importance of always carrying our electronic devices, especially when traveling.
Everything for an Apple Watch
The actor’s offer to give away the Apple Watch to anyone who guesses his password, while funny, isn’t entirely realistic. To use an Apple Watch, you must unpair it from the original owner’s iPhone and enable Activation Lock.
Perhaps having something from a Hollywood actor will mobilize many of his followers, but it is undoubtedly a daunting task. So far, no one has commented on where the Apple Watch is, but we’ll continue to monitor for updates.
