Although best known for its televisions, TCL also offers mobile devices. Otherwise, see the recent TCL Stylus 5G in the mid-range or the TCL 30 LE and the TCL 305 in the cheapest range. Precisely with the idea of launching a cheap mobile the TCL 305i has arrived.
Almost by surprise and without too much hype, TCL presented a new terminal for tight pockets. Therefore, we do not find great boasts in the specifications, but it is also not what is expected for its price, since it can now be obtained for prices of around 100 dollars.

TCL 305i – 6.52″ HD+ Smartphone with NXTVISION (MediaTek MT6739V, 2GB/32GB Expandable MicroSD, Dual SIM, 13MP+5MP Cameras, 4000mAh Battery, Android 11GB Ed.) Azul
Modest screen and flash that “plays” at being a camera
This new TCL 305i presents a design that, without being revolutionary, seems attractive to the eye. Its front part is starred by its 6.52-inch LCD screen and HD+ resolution. A very decent screen for this range of devices, although with considerable bezels at the bottom and a hole for the camera at the top.
Available in black or a brighter blue, this terminal offers what looks on paper like a sort of rough touch due to the scratches that make up the back. A section in which we also find no element beyond the TCL logo at the bottom left and the camera module (yes, it is only one, but the flash is added as if it were another goal).
Modest hardware and with Android GO in its software
With a processor from several years agothe Mediatek MT6739V, this TCL 305i comes with a 2 GB of RAM memory and an internal storage capacity of 32 or 64 GB which can be expanded with a microSD card up to 512 GB. It’s not a big deal in this performance section, but we emphasize again that with this price we can’t demand more either .
With a 4000mAh battery There seems to be plenty of battery life for a day, although we weren’t able to test it and TCL doesn’t offer any data regarding duration either. What they say is that they added two battery saving modes. It must be said that the terminal will charge via a Micro USB port.
With regard to the photographic part, we find a 5 megapixel selfie camera and an 13-megapixel rear camera. Between the terms that are added by the software we find the HDR mode, the face tracking or the beauty mode.
And if we talk about software as such, we see that it embeds Android 11 Go. This is a light version of Android 11 and they generally ship terminals from this range. It must be said that Android 12 GB has been running since last year, so this could be a point to highlight negatively.
TCL 305i versions and prices
Available at various points of sale such as Amazon, Carrefour, Phone House or Alcampo, this TCL 305i is offered in two colors (blue and black). It can be found in different internal memory configurations, although the difference is not excessive. In fact, in some stores it is even possible to get it for less than 100 dollars.
- TCL 305i 2/32 GB: 109 dollars
- TCL 305i 2/64 GB: 119 dollars
