macOS is undoubtedly full of virtues. However, sometimes we find certain things that make our experience less than perfect. One of the issues that bothered me the most with my Mac was how long it takes for the Dock to hide again.

To reproduce this, you will have to open the terminal of your Mac, it’s simple. All you have to do is go to Launchpad, type “terminal” and you will see a black icon reproducing a command console
Then you will have to get this code which we leave here for you to copy:
defaults write http://com.apple.Dock autohide-delay -float 0;defaults write http://com.apple.dock autohide-time-modifier -float 0.65;killall Dock
If you look closely, you will see that the float value is 0.65. You can adapt it to further personalize the experience and do it to your liking. Also, if you finally decide you don’t like it. you can always go back to the original shape. To do this, go back to the terminal and paste this:
default remove http://com.apple.dock autohide-time-modifier;default remove http://com.apple.dock autohide-delay;killall Dock
And that would be The truth is that this trick amazingly improved my experience with the Mac. It’s not something that’s going to revolutionize the system, but over time with this new tweak you will notice.
