One of the reasons why the CoVID-19 epidemic is so severe is your extreme presence. It's very easy for one person to infect another, even if you don't.
Therefore, many of the measures that governments take focus on reducing communication between people, forcing them to have less distance from social interaction.
To help with this coronavirus strategy, Apple and Google have announced a partnership where they will integrate their cell phones, iPhones and Android devices.
Google Maps History serves to see that classification is met
Google has published numerous reports from different countries and places where icudadanos movements are shown using data from Google Maps.
User controls that respect privacy
The purpose of both companies is to introduce a few application APIs and services and other integrated solutions within Android and iOS. The idea is to use bluetooth technology the user can be alerted to whether or not they have a coronavirus connection.
Obviously, this plan will be implemented very quickly, even though solutions that increase privacy may not be resolved.
A two-stage program to combat coronavirus
The first phase of the development will take place in May, with both companies launching the first APIs which will make Android and iOS mobiles compatible with government apps. These apps will be on the Play Store and AppStore.
In the second part, to be operational in the coming months, the two companies will build a communication tracking platform that will use Bluetooth technology. However, Google and Apple indicate that only subscribers' personal data will be used, not automatically by everyone. There is more detail in this PDF.
The idea of the platform is to use non-personal identifiers that allow any user to be notified that they have contact with an infected person or not, without knowing who or what their data is.
In the coming weeks we will know more, and we will see which governments decide to use this stadium.
