LG announced in the final hours that it has opted for the smart TVs of 2019, which is now benefiting from integration with the Apple TV app and Apple TV + service. The Korean company made the announcement in the press, and said so Compatible TV owners can access the app and streaming service
According to the statement, LG TV owners can subscribe to Apple TV channels, check out the iTunes video library, and buy or rent programs through the native app. Accessing the Apple TV + allows for the transfer of Apple's original series and specialties.
Technology compatible with LG TVs
Although LG did not provide a complete list of compatible features, the company notes that All 2019 OleD TVs and NanoCell TVs (SM9X and SM8X series) are now showing Apple technology, including Apple TV, AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. LG announced plans to merge AirPlay 2 with HomeKit in July 2019, and subsequently use the function as part of a software update released later that month.
LG plans to install the Apple TV + system on selected UHD TVs (UM7X and UM6X series) in February, while the Apple TV + app will be available on 2018 model TVs later this year, with the release of the firmware online.
