The Apple Watch Series 9 will arrive in September and thanks to a small (albeit very important) change, it will have longer battery life compared to its predecessors. This change is none other than include the A15 processor itself which Apple has already included in the iPhone 13. All of this according to Gurman was able to share in his Power On in Bloomberg newsletter.
The current Apple Watch Series 8, like its predecessor, the Series 7, incorporates a “vitamin” S6 chip (very similar to this one) which also incorporated the Apple Watch Series 6. That is, Apple kept virtually the same chip for 3 consecutive years. At least when it comes to speed improvements.
Gurman claims that the future 9-series chip will be a “new processor” rather than a new renamed S6 that he powers and believes that It will be a chip based on the A15 of the iPhone 13.
Also incorporate This new chip makes a lot of sense for improving the rumored features that Apple plans to bring into watchOS 10. Remember that Apple is going to do a total facelift of the Watch operating system with a radical change in the user interface and the incorporation of widgets.
Finally, no significant design changes are planned for the 9-series compared to the 8-series. Maybe we’ll see that next year with the Apple Watch…X?
