We've rounded up the six most popular programs here, most of which are cross-platform and available in macOS. This way, you can communicate with your people, whether it be work or family matters.

In these days of global confinement, if there is any plan to win based on the number of new customers, that's Zoom. The issues discussed here have gone from having 10 million users by the end of 2019, to the current 300 million, all in just over a month.
It has been linked to security issues that the company seems to have been able to respond to quickly, publishing security clips. In this way, it seems to be becoming the new WhatsApp for groups regarding video calls.
Once you have configured your account and downloaded the client application, the service lets you schedule meetings with up to 100 participants, and have as many sessions as you want each month.
The only real limitation is that group meetings can last only 40 minutes before Zoom ends automatically, which is payable when you use the free version. However, we tell you some tricks to exceed this limit.
If you use it well, you need more participants to deliver presentation, longer sessions, phone calls, or video recording capabilities and save them to the cloud, there pricing plans starting at € 46 per month (€ 39.08 per year).

Skype
The application for Microsoft video conferencing is one of the pioneers in this segment. It was introduced back in 2003, i software Video calls have never been with many of their competitors, such as a trusted service extensively at business level.

Microsoft Groups
Microsoft Teams is a comprehensive service designed for professional users or business environments where virtual meetings and video calls are the order of the day. The free tier offers cool features that are valid for many purposes.
You can make HD video calls, share your screen, and use built-in chat features to communicate in writing. Additionally, there is 10 GB of storage allocated to any computer for sharing content, with an additional 2 GB of human documents.

Meet Google
Google had many video calling apps for its history, which can confuse users. We currently have Duo, Google Hangouts and our main focus here:
While the first few options are a simple service designed for instant calls between friends and family with a large number of participants, Google Meet is a business application and therefore requires G Suite registration.
This gives you access to video calls with up to 250 participants, and you can stream live presentations or events to as many as 100,000 viewers.

OK, don't expect it to be used for important company shareholder meetings, but if you want to have a good time with your friends, with Houseparty you can sample regular meetings with your friends for dinner or a small beer.
It currently supports up to seven people in the virtual room. If that is not enough, you can use multiple rooms and wander between them, or conversations take place inside each room.
Users can connect to Houseparty using iOS, Android, macOS or Windows, using the extension with Chrome. The goal is nothing other than entertainment and having a good time.
