The controversial World Cup in Qatar is finally here, and we’ll have no shortage of alternatives to watch it on our television, with RTVE and Movistar Plus offering the matches (the first only a few and the second only if we have the package LaLiga).

But habits have changed. Many people don’t even turn on the TV anymore when they want to watch content, they just use their mobile, from where they have access to all kinds of platforms and services. And this World Cup will be no exception.
The World Cup in Qatar on mobile
Adapting to current times, Movistar has decided to offer its coverage of the World Cup in Qatar in a new subscription service, which will allow us to watch the matches even without being customers of the operator and without having to buy a special decoder.
The service is called Gol Mundial, and it’s available to rent directly through its official website and Android app. We can define it in a simple way: it is a Netflix for the World Cup, and therefore, it will allow us to watch all the matches live through a variety of devices, both mobile phones and our computers or tablets.
We have the choice between two types of subscriptions, and the cheapest is the one that interests us, since it offers us access to the entire World Cup, to all the matches and to all the national teams, for a payment single price of 19.99 dollars. Indeed, for 20 dollars we have the 64 matches at our disposal, 44 of which will be exclusive and will not be broadcast on RTVE.
This modality is compatible with various devices, such as Android phones and tablets using the official app, as well as PCs and Macs using the website. It even has an app for Android TV and Smart TV, to watch matches on TV “as usual”. We only have to log in with our account to have access to live matches.
