The Apple News has been dark lately, mainly because of all pricing disorders, but before that, there was all the drama on Siri and the inability of society to offer promised characteristics of Apple's intelligence. Well, in case you have forgotten, the New York Times is there to remind you that the Siri drama has not left.
Tripp Mickle reports “the inability to make Apple new ideas”, providing information from anonymous sources on business mismatage to AI development. Mark Gurman de Bloomberg previously reported that Apple would delay the new Siri's features based on AI until 2026, but towards the end of Mickle's article is a glimmer of hope – or a thinking of some of Apple initiates:
Apple did not cancel its reworked Siri. The company plans to publish a virtual assistant in the fall capable of doing things such as publishing and sending a photo to a friend on request, three people have knowledge of its plans.

This seems to happen in the first version of iOS 19, rather than iOS 19.3 or later in 2026, as some had speculated. Mickle continues to point out that apple chiefs think that there is time to get [AI] Okay, “because Google, Meta and others have not yet understood it. It could be true, but it seems that Apple's competition has its plans in much better than Apple.
If Apple really believes that it can deliver this fall, it will make the WWDC25 in June much more interesting and will give us something to worry. Apple will almost certainly address Siri's situation then – he must do it, it is the elephant in the room – and the company will proclaim SIRI delivery in the fall or a much later date. We will have to wait and see.
