We’ve been hearing about OLED technology coming to the iPad Pro for some time, but we still don’t have any official information or proof that it’s true. The only thing that gives us hope are rumors and leaks around the new iPad Pro 11 and 13 inches which will be released in early 2024, around the month of March, a month very traditionally oriented towards iPads. New news suggests that mass production of these devices would begin in early 2024

and this OLED technology would enable screen refresh rates of 10Hz, among other benefits.

OLED displays will arrive on the iPad Pro in 2024

The information comes from Korean outlet The Elec, which reported that Apple could have given the signal to suppliers to start with the mass production of new OLED panels for next year’s iPad Pro. This this would make it possible to have new iPads in the first half of 2024.

The 2024 iPad Pro may bring a thinner OLED panel

We’ve already seen the benefits of OLED panels with the iPhone. Remember that the iPhone 14 Pro can reach refresh rates of 1 Hz (in certain situations) thanks to the OLED screen. THE Current iPad Pros with ProMotion support they have refresh rates between 24 and 120 Hz. The arrival of the new panels on the iPad Pro 2024 would allow achieve a refresh rate of 1 Hz.

As for the other novelties of the new iPad Pro, they are expected to increase slightly in size until they reach the 11.1 inches and 13.1 inches, that’s why we call them 11 and 13 inches as opposed to the current 11 and 12.9 inches. They will carry, as we mentioned, OLED panels at least the Pro versions and will allow you to have a finer design. All this increase in technology will imply an increase in the final price of the device.
