Google has released an update for your browser. Chrome reaches version number 100 and the most visible new feature is a redesigned icon. An icon that we will soon be able to see on Mac as well as on iPhone or iPad.
A redesign very in tune with macOS Big Sur and Monterey
One of the first things that stands out when we see the new Google Chrome icon is that seems specially designed to fit
The last browser icon update was in 2014, seven years ago now. Now, with this version, the icon becomes noticeably brighter, contains less shadows and has a slight reflection on the white background that frames it.
Some of you may have noticed a new icon in Chrome’s Canary update today. Yes! we’re refreshing Chrome brand icons for the first time in 8 years. The new icons will soon start appearing on your devices. pic.twitter.com/aaaRRzFLI1

As for other new features, the truth is that Chrome usually makes changes gradually and regularly, many of them at the server level, so we don’t see any major changes in the browser. What this version of Chrome includes is the fixed 28 security vulnerabilities that were present in the app.
Undoubtedly, the 100th version of a browser is an anniversary to take into account. A browser full of tricks, including many unknowns, which with this icon change celebrates a milestone in its development.
