There is an application that practically everyone in Europe installs as soon as they buy and configure a new phone, it is WhatsApp. It is about many people's favorite app when using a messaging platform. In fact, its large user base is one of its main advantages.
It's not the only one, since the application has evolved over the years to become a real Swiss army knife in terms of communication. It has very interesting options like making video calls, sending files and even voice notes, something that many people don't like too much because it is not always possible to hear them at the moment.
Free Android
Thanks to the new function introduced by the company and which is already reaching all users, it will be possible to transcribe voice notes that arrive on WhatsApp. In fact, if you don't already have the function, it's only a matter of time before it arrives, since its deployment has started in Europe.
Transcribe messages
The messaging application has already launched its new function in Europe. Thanks to this, it will be possible know what our contacts say in the audios they send us without even having to listen to them. This transcription feature will take care of that, which is completely private and end-to-end encrypted.
The company specifies that even they cannot access the content of said transcriptions, so the audio messages will remain completely private. To activate this option you must go to the Settings section, then open the Chats section. Here it will be enough to activate the message transcription option, after which you will need to select the language and download a data package.
After that we will only have to go to one of the conversations in which we received audio and select it by holding it down. When selected, you will need to open the three-dot menu at the top right and click on transcribe.
This will open a small box below each selected audio and what was said will appear as text. It must be said that Its effectiveness depends largely on the person's diction that you have recorded audio and use words you recognize, as there are times when you may get lost with familiar language or naming a brand.
