Last January we were able to meet the latest generation of Samsung’s most premium mobile phones, the Galaxy S24, which this time included great innovations in terms of artificial intelligence, and changes in its design, especially in the case of the Galaxy S24 Ultra: this new mobile now has a completely flat (and anti-reflective) screen and titanium edges.
By the middle of this year, we’re expecting a new generation of Samsung foldable phones, and it looks like the biggest foldable, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, will inherit some features from the S24 Ultra.
Edges covered in titanium, like the latest Samsung Galaxy “Ultra”
So far, the Galaxy Z Folds have included several high-end features among their specifications, including the use of powerful processors, on par with what we see in the Galaxy S of the same year. This time, however, rumors and alleged leaks ensure that Samsung is working on not one but two models of the Galaxy Z Fold: one more premium and one less expensive.
The high-end model, which could be called Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, It will have titanium edges, like those used by the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This would allow Samsung’s next foldable to be lighter and, at the same time, more durable, thanks to the use of this material instead of the aluminum that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 uses on its edges.
Of course, and just like previous generations of Samsung foldables, we can expect the Galaxy Z Fold 6 have the same processor as the Galaxy S24 Ultrai.e. the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
Previously we had already heard rumors regarding the inclusion of a 200 MP main sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the same sensor that the Galaxy S24 Ultra uses in its camera. Although other, even more recent rumors deny this information. We will have to wait to find out what sensors and cameras this mobile will integrate, and how it will differ from the cheaper model.
If all these details are confirmed, it would mean that this year Samsung would introduce three foldable phones: a high-end Galaxy Z Fold 6 with titanium frames and a better camera, a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE (or Fan) . Edition) with lower-end features (and without S Pen support), and a Galaxy Z Flip 6, the next generation of the clamshell foldable.
Samsung should present the next generation of its foldable devices at some point between the months of July and August. On that same date, we were also able to witness the launch of the Galaxy Ring, the company’s new smart ring.
