The Gathering Arena is now free to download on Android

Card games are living in a golden age. Titles like HearthStone have become a real glue for gamers and spectators, but it’s not the only one.

“Playing HearthStone reminds me of chess” Feelink, professional player

In our HearthStone article series today, we interviewed Feelink, a professional HearthStone player at Movistar Riders.

A few months ago, the king of collectible card games, Magic, launched a new digital version to compete, among other things, with the game from Blizzard: Magic: the gathering arena. Now, this version is coming to Android, as its developers announced earlier this month.

Magic: The Gathering Arena is now on the Play Store

The game is currently in early access mode, but it can be installed without major issues, as long as we have one of the compatible devices.

According to the developer, we need a mobile running Android 6 or higher, with at least 4 GB of RAM and a Kirin 970 processor., Snapdragon 845, Exynos 9810 or higher. However, in the list of models that have been tested, and where the game works, we see terminals that have less power:

• Asus ROG Phone 3.
• Asus ROG Phone II.
• Google Pixel 3.
• Honor Play 4.
• Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
• Huawei Mate 30 Pro 4G.
• Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G
• Huawei P20 Pro.
• Huawei P30 Pro.
• LG G7 ThinQ.
• Motorola One 5G.
• OnePlus 6T.
• OnePlus 7 Pro.
• OnePlus 8.
• Oppo Reno 3 Vitality.
• Oppo Reno3 5G.
• Realme v3.
• Redmi 10X Pro 5G.
• Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra.
• Redmi K30 5G Racing.
• Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
• Samsung galaxy note 9
• Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
• Samsung galaxy s10
• Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
• Samsung galaxy s9
• Sony Xperia XZ2
• Sony Xperia XZ3
• I live in the 70s

Integrated shopping and slowness

Unsurprisingly, the game offers different forms of combat between rival decks, with in-app purchases to acquire our collection of cards. These purchases range from $ 4.99 to $ 19.99 per unit.

We need a little over 4GB to download all the necessary files, so you should check this before you start the download.

We installed it and found that the servers are running at their peak. A wait screen appears at each bit in the menus. We assume this is due to the number of users downloading and using the game for the first time.

Remember that Magic: The Gathering Arena is not the only version of Magic available on Android, but it is the one that has generated the most interest.
