Alcatel has left us with several launches in Europe over the past year, such as its new tablets. The brand is starting the year off with a bang, as it has already officially introduced two new phones. This is the Alcatel 5X and the Alcatel 1V Plus, two models that are part of the manufacturer’s entry range.

These new Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus were officially presented in Argentina. It’s unclear at this time if the brand plans to launch them in Europe, but they have all the makings for these to be two models that end up arriving on this side of the pond throughout 2021.

Simple and with excellent batteries

These two phones have a design common to the brand: display with a teardrop notch. The Alcatel 5X has a 6.52 inch panel, while the 1V Plus stays at 6.22 inches. Both have HD + resolution and were made with an IPS panel.

One of the things that usually stands out in this line of phones is batteries, which these models show. The 5X has a large 5000mAh battery capacity, while the 1V Plus stays at 4000mAh. Given their specifications, both promise good battery life. None of them support fast charging, which is common in the entry range.

As for the cameras, Alcatel 5X surprises with quad rear camera: 48 Mpx main sensor, 5 Mpx ultra wide angle, 2 Mpx macro and 2 Mpx depth sensor, while the front is 13 Mpx The Alcatel 1V Plus has a dual rear sensor (13 + 5 Mpx) and a 5 Mpx front sensor.

Both phones have Android 10 as standard, in addition, stand out with its fingerprint sensor, an element that is not always found in the low end on Android. It will be possible to unlock them both with a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition.

Price and availability

These new Alcatel 5X and Alcatel 1V Plus they have already become official in Argentina, although no data has been provided on their prices.
