Last Wednesday, April 15, Apple finally launched its new iPhone SE, a device with content size and a 4.7-inch screen but with all the high end power as happened with the iPhone 11 Pro. Because as was the case with the original iPhone SE, Carlertino's company has kept the effort to put the full power out of this "little deal."
Unless the Cupertino firm wants to keep vintage elements like Touch ID and some questionable frames, inside we get an A13 Bionic chip, the same processor that rises to the top of its range. To get an idea, the A13 is processing at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 level and that in terms of performance tests, both processes have the same or less performance, though they have some important differences.
While Android phones with Snapdragon 865 cost up to 1,000 euros like the OnePlus 8 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, Apple's new end surprises us with a price of 399 euros or just 489 euros
The iPhone SE for less than 500 euros will have more support than the 1,000 Euro euro terminals
For me it is very important that the phone has support for its product, either with renewal support or security poles. This unfortunately for the Android market is not very common while for companies like Google itself, OnePlus and recently Samsung maintaining a better support level, the general trend doesn't hurt.
In contrast, the A13 processor will allow Apple to refurbish this small terminal for several years, receiving new versions of iOS and other minor updates such as bug fixes. I mean that a device under 500 euros will receive more support and updates than Android terminals that repeat the price
While many phones that were quite expensive last year have yet to receive Android 10 (we'll see how many smartphones actually update to Android 11 and when they do), the new Apple terminal will be kept up to date. To give a clearer example, the former SE came out in 2016 and to this day continues to receive updates. So this new and inexpensive iPhone will not only be more powerful (watch out! Not better) than most Android phones for 1,000 euros, but Apple will offer you four years of official support.
And I'm not saying that this iPhone SE is a better phone than the Galaxy S20 Ultra or iPhone 8 Pro, which it isn't. I'm just saying that Apple has installed a high-end processor in a small space and that only 489 euros a buyer will have a device that will last for years and years, not because its performance will be great but because the firm will also take care of it. And Apple may be severely criticized, but hopefully all Android products will crush both its facilities and the Carlertino company. In short, the new iPhone SE will be a sales success just as the iPhone XR was.
