During the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22, the Korean company not only boasted of hardware, but also of software. The new models included Android 12, but also One UI 4.1, the company’s new mobile interface, which brought new features. One of them was the new magic eraser of your gallery app. Now this feature is reaching more company cell phones.
Remove reflections and shadows
Delete item option in Samsung Gallery app has been with us for quite some time now as you know. The novelty is a dual function created by the company’s engineers.
This feature allows remove shadows and reflections unwanted in photos. Like deleting objects, it works well, but not perfectly.
But what’s new is that we thought this feature was tied to One UI 4.1, and it’s not. It is related to Photo Editoras they have in Android Police, an application that we can download from the Samsung Galaxy Store, or rather update since it is integrated into the system by default.
If you can’t find it, search for “Photo Editor Samsung”, without the quotes.
After the update we should see a tab called laboratories, where we can activate the two new functions. Once we have done this, we must select the “magic eraser” option and choose the one we want.
This update is already reaching more phones, such as the S21 Ultra or the Galaxy Z Fold 3, just the model I’m using these days. In said update, it is explained that this news is coming, but there is a problem.
Although we have seen models in which it is operational, this is not the case with the Z Fold 3, we do not know if this is due to the processor. It also does not appear, although we have updated the app, on the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra which we also have available. It might be a server update issue.
