A leaked case reveals that the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 could finally be called the iPhone 14 Plus.
have already passed 5 years since Apple presented its latest “iPhone Plus”. The iPhone 8 Plus accompanied the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in 2017 and since then Apple has not used this surname anymore. When the company opted to launch a larger model the following year, it was dubbed the “Max”, leaving the classic “Plus” discontinued.
However, that could change this year if one of the latest iPhone 14 rumors comes to pass. A leaked image of a supposed official Apple case reveals that this year we will have an iPhone 14 Plusand not an iPhone 14 Max as they say.
This would be the case that revealed the name iPhone 14 Plus
The 6.7-inch iPhone 14 will be called the iPhone 14 Plus
This year, Apple will change its model strategy and instead of opting for an iPhone mini, you will opt for a large model in the basic range. In other words, if you want an iPhone with a large screen, you will have more alternatives than the iPhone Pro Max.
Until now, we thought the iPhone would be called iPhone 14 MaxHowever, it seems that Apple has other plans for this new model and could return to its origins.
Probably to further differentiate it from the iPhone 14 Pro Max, Apple reportedly decided to call this new 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus. Of course, that would be something quite surprising since it’s a word that was abandoned so long ago, but it might be a good idea to better differentiate the models.
These will be the four iPhone 14s this year, it remains to be seen what they will be called in the end
If this leak is real, this year’s iPhone lineup should look like this:
- iPhone 14: 6.1 inch screen.
- iPhone 14 Plus: 6.7 inch screen.
- iPhone 14 Pro: 6.1 inch screen.
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6.7 inch screen.
In addition to the leaked photo of the case, the name iPhone 14 Plus It was also seen on the site of a well-known brand of iPhone accessories. Although this does not mean that it is something confirmed, the alleged design of the iPhone 14 Pro with a double hole in the screen also appears on this website and everything indicates that it will not be the case.
These types of decisions are made by the apple marketing team and they don’t know each other until the last moment, so it’s a rumor that suits us. And we live in recent days constant rumors about the new iPhone 14, with design changes, RAM and possible price drops. The best thing is that there are only a few days left to see them officially at the Apple event.
