Unpacked 2023 is just around the corner. Samsung’s next big event will be the February 1st and there we will know the new flagships of the brand, the Samsung Galaxy S23. And with all of its leaked features, the price is the biggest mystery. Or not.
Its prices for Europe had also previously been leaked, but now we know its exact price for Europe. And it is that, as usual, it seems that there will not be a single price for all the territories of the old continent. Thus, we already appreciate at first that they will be more expensive than their predecessors.
No Galaxy S23 is spared from price increases
It is the prolific leaker Roland Quandt who, by Twitterpublished the Galaxy S23 Full Series Spanish Prices. Or at least a large part of it, since we have the intuition that data on more advanced versions in the memories could be missing.
- Samsung Galaxy S23 8/128 GB: 959 dollars
- Samsung Galaxy S23 8/256GB: $1,019
- Samsung Galaxy S23+ 8/256 GB: 1,209 dollars
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 8/256 GB: 1,409 dollars
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 12/512 GB: $1,589
According to the aforementioned leaks, I would like to know the price of some versions. Specifically, the Galaxy S23+ 8/256 GB and the S23 Ultra in its 12/1 TB configuration, since the price of these configurations is not mentioned in this latest report.
12% more expensive than the Galaxy S22
There are a few nuances to comment on before comparing. And that’s it, Although they increase in price, the base memory capacity also does so in the two most advanced models.. Whether this change and the rest of the innovations they incorporate are more or less justified is up to everyone to judge. And more knowing that the standard model does not increase this capacity. For now, we see that they follow the trend of price increases already reported by other high-end mobiles.
So while the minimum memory capacities are higher, we can make the prices we know of the S23 comparable to the starting S22, thus driving those price differences from generation to generation in their starting pricesdepending on their base memory configurations.
- Samsung Galaxy S23 (8/128) vs. S22 (8/128): 50 dollars more (+11.64%)
- Samsung Galaxy S23+ (8/128) vs S22+ (8/256): 150 dollars more (+12.41%)
- Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (8/256) vs S22 Ultra (8/128): 150 dollars more (+11.91%)
Although the leak seems reliable, it should not be ignored that it is not officially confirmed by Samsung for the moment. It will be in the already mentioned Unpacked when we finally get rid of doubts. Even if, without wishing to be pessimistic, that they will increase in price is an open secret.
