The brand new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is considered one of the best phones of the year. It is not for less, given that its starting price exceeds 1,400 dollars. With this RRP, it’s no wonder those who bought it expect perfection. Or at least not meet something of a wrinkle in its ambitious 6.8-inch panel, as several people have reported. Samsung responded.
This problem seems to be widespread, given that there are people complaining on Reddit, a twitter and in the Samsung community forums: there is a wrinkle or bubble in the upper right corner of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
#S23Ultra either has serious quality control issues with the first batch of phones, or I’m just the unluckiest person. They are 2 different phones, both with the same problem, my second being actually worse.
The glass was not glued properly or what?! @SamsungFR pic.twitter.com/7F9ZlmINN3— MF (@Orange_Scooter) February 14, 2023
What is that little wrinkle or bubble on the Galaxy S23 Ultra
The house has just responded to one of these complaints on social networks. Samsung UK explains on Twitter that the issue occurs during the S23 Ultra’s dust and water proofing process, at which time the layers of glass are laminated directly to the display panel. In fact, Samsung details that this is precisely what is appreciated, a flickering, and not a break in the glass or a defect in the screen
If you illuminate the screen strongly, some parts may appear crushed/pressed, this happens due to the pressing process for waterproofing and dustproofing. This is not a product defect. Everything is fine with your phone. ^DT 2/2

That is to say, it is not a manufacturing defect, but what is appreciated is that pressure layer structure to avoid the action of dust and water. Or what is the same, that’s how it should be and the screen and the phone are fine.
Even if it is not a defect as suchwhich can be appreciated is a reason for some people to even contact samsung to inform them and request an exchange… to receive another phone that will have undergone the same pressure rolling process.
In any case, this small crease does not distort the visibility of the pixels on the screen, so it’s an insignificant cosmetic problem.
