It was October 2018 when, before other producers, Roolele officially announced what they themselves described as "the first smartphone with a wrap screen". Its name was FlexPai, it had a 7.8-inch pixel (1920 x 1440) with AMOLED flexibility and it had a Snapdragon 855 on board. Its price started at $ 1,388.
Now, a year and a half later, the company indicate your successor, FlexPai 2, at an event held in China and, although not introduced as such, confirmed many important details. Among them, which will feature the third-generation Cicada Wing panels and will feature the most advanced Qualcomm processor to date, Snapdragon 865, which means it will be compatible with the 5G NSA and SA networks.
Working, folding and showing improvement
Roolele introduced the next generation – and there are already three – its fully convertible display (FFD, Fully Flexible Display) Cicada Wing and has confirmed that the first product to feature will be their own the new FlexPai 2 smartphone wrap, which will hit the market in the second quarter of that year.
Rayole CEO Bill Liu has also announced that a ZTE strategic agreement, which is likely to have a ZTE phone effect with this ad. No details have been released from this alliance, except that "both sides will work together to promote faster popularity and the use of a fully automated display in the 5G era."
The third-generation Cicada Wing FFD display offers great improvements to the previous generation, including 50% increased light and improved performance in other acquisition metrics, along with the color gamut 1.3 times, the difference is 5 times higher and the 1.2 times faster response times. In addition, the viewing angle is enhanced so that the screen promises clear and accurate representation of colors and bright images in any view.

As we mentioned, FlexPai 2 will be the first product with the third Cicada Wing FFD display, which has four a 7.8-inch diagonal and a 4: 3 ratio. Rooyle explained at the event that the functionality and design of FlexPai 2 was also enhanced by replacing "advanced computer technology, memory and materials."
This includes, on the one hand, the Snapdragon 865 processor with Adreno 650 GPU and integrated 5G modem, LPDDR5 RAM storage and UFS 3.0 storage, on the other hand, a new patented hinge (3S Hinge) Premium construction, wear resistance, durable and useless.
