Does that seem to you? It is 11:30 am, you are in full concentration and, suddenly, they call you the iPhone. It's a mobile number and You take while waiting for it to be important and … “Hello, we call you from the Company of Light”. More than once, I had to interrupt an important video call, and I am sure you also have your own battalions.
Well, good news comes: months ago, a law is ready to end this type of call. AND We finally have the date of request: this Saturday, June 7. What comes into force and what will it change? We detail it. Marquez has before and after in the fight against telephone spam.
Goodbye not to know whether this is a spam call or not
After more than a year of treatment, the TDF / 149/2025 order of the Ministry of Digital Transformation finally becomes a reality. And this time, they are for everyone. This Saturday, June 7, the total ban on commercial calls for mobile numbers comes into force.
What does that mean? That These commercial calls are completed which appear on your screen as if it were a normal number (622, 654, 699 …). Do you know, those who make you think “will he be a co-traveler?”, “Amazon's delivery man?” And then it turns out that it is someone who wishes to sell you a light or human resources rate although you are not looking for a job.
All companies must use specific telephone codes for their commercial calls.
With this new law, at a glance on our iPhone, we can know if the one who calls us wants to sell us something. Commercial calls can only be made from:
- Fixed numbers (those of a life)
- Prefixes 800 and 900 (Free numbers that can also make calls)
- Particularly attributed numbers (like the famous 1004 of Telefónica)
Commercial calls will only come from the 800 and 900 prefixes
And the best of all? Operators will be forced to block any commercial call Do not use these prefixes. Basically, if Movistar, Orange or Vodafone detect a camouflaged commercial call, they will block it directly before reaching your iPhone. As Cherry Cerry, any contract that you get on an undisputed call will be automatically zero.
Other measures to fight against spam
But the ban on commercial calls for mobiles It is not the only weapon in the anti-spam arsenal. Do you remember the famous Robinson's list which promised to end the spam, but what did not seem to work? Well now, we have his older brother: Stop Advertising List, created by the Spanish association for digital confidentiality.
The platform goes beyond calls: it allows you Block spam on Whatsapp, Instagram, emails, sms and even postal mailboxes. The best thing is that it is entirely free for individuals and that promises are translated in 30 days.
And also, from iOS 18.2, Apple allows you to replace its native “telephone” application with alternatives Specialized in filter spam. Applications such as Truecaller or Hiya can now automatically identify commercial calls before your phone rings.
The perfect strategy would be to combine new laws, stop free advertising and, if you have a European iPhone, a specialized filter application. But From this SaturdayWhen you receive your first commercial call from 800 or 900, you will know that it advertises and you can hang on without any resentment.
