Apple has confirmed the launch date of its new product, the Vision Pro mixed reality glasses, and gave us more details on what they bring in the box and the price of the lenses correctors
The Apple Vision Pro already has a release date: February 2, for the moment only in the United States as planned. Reservations for the product can be made much earlier: on January 19, they can be ordered on their official website. We already knew the price of the device: $3,499, but the price of the corrective lenses for those who must wear glasses was surprising, as they cannot be used with the device placed on the face. The ZEISS brand will be responsible for manufacturing these glasses, which will be ordered to order, and which will have two prices depending on the type of glass.. Those needed for reading will cost $99, while those that correct other visual deficits will cost $149. We were expecting much higher prices, so it’s very good news that these lenses, which will be magnetically attached to the device, are so affordable.
We also know more details about the contents that will be included in the box of Vision Pro:
- A Solo Knit adjustment band and another Dual Loop band, giving users two options for installing the device on their head.
- Seal of Light.
- Two cushions for light seal.
- Cover for the front window of the device.
- Cloth for cleaning.
- External battery provides up to two and a half hours of video playback.
- USB-C charging cable.
- USB-C power adapter
The Apple Vision Pro will arrive with a single 256 GB storage option, and for now they will only be available in the United States. These countries are expected to expand throughout 2024, with the UK, China and Canada being the next to be added to the list.
