When the Sony Xperia 1 II arrived in Europe, it was a cell phone that pleasantly convinced us with the quality of its screen and the technology integrated into its cameras. A year later, the Japanese company is ready to go further with the Xperia 1 III, a mobile that aspires to achieve the superior screen never seen in a mobile.
In less than two weeks we have an appointment with Sony to meet its new range of mobiles for this 2021, more precisely April 14 being the date chosen. As the date approaches, we learn more details about this terminal.
The numbers on the screen of the Xperia 1 III are impressive, but how is this possible?
The Xperia 1 III is a mobile that, according to the leaks of its design, did not seem like it would need to undergo any major changes. The terminal seems to retain a design similar to that of its predecessor, perhaps highlighting the presence of a periscope camera. However, it looks like there would be a surprise with the screen.
One of the strengths of the Xperia I is the technology used, as they stand out for the OLED panels with 4K resolution and 21: 9 aspect ratio, being the most cinematic mobile on the market. For this year, not only would it maintain the resolution, but it would also bet on a 120Hz refresh rate.
The main concern with such a powerful display is the impact it can have on the battery. As in previous models, the screen was not always in 4K resolution, it is very likely that 120 Hz will only reach them when in FullHD mode.
While the data is quite promising, until the terminal is available and we can test it, we can’t be sure with complete certainty that the panel lives up to its promises, but given the Sony history, expectations are very high. On April 14, we will end up leaving doubts in the official presentation.
New Sony phones already have a presentation date
Sony has announced the presentation date of its new mobiles. The Xperia 1 III (Mark 3) and Xperia 10 III (Mark 3) are expected.
