The new Galaxy S24s are here, and without a doubt one of its most exciting new features is Galaxy AI, Samsung’s new artificial intelligence. Galaxy AI brings features like real-time voice call translation and a new way to perform intelligent searches to the next generation of the Galaxy S family.
However, these AI features will not be exclusive to the Galaxy S24: other Samsung Galaxy devices will receive Galaxy AI and updating to One UI 6.1.
These are the first Samsung Galaxy to receive the new AI features
At Samsung Unpacked 2024, the South Korean company presented in detail all the possibilities of Galaxy AI which are available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra. One of its most exciting features is the ability to overcome the language barrier with real-time call translation, as well as improvements in AI-based image and video editing.
If you already own a Samsung Galaxy device, you probably have the following question: Will my phone receive these artificial intelligence features? And luckily, Samsung has announced that more Galaxy devices will be updated to One UI 6.1 and will receive Galaxy AI.
These are the first models that will receive the update, as the company confirmed to Android Authority:
These are just the first models to receive the update, but hopefully they won’t be the only ones.
When is the update to One UI 6.1 coming?
The update with Galaxy AI will reach compatible devices during the first half of 2024. However, Samsung has not yet clarified whether all Galaxy AI features will also be available for models updated to One UI 6.1, only saying that “many features” will be available on other devices.
Knowing that the South Korean company has placed a lot of emphasis on the capabilities of the Exynos 2400 processor for AI, like Qualcomm in the case of the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, certain functions could be exclusive to the new terminals.
We can expect more details on this in the coming months, including confirmation of more compatible devices.
