The wait will finally end. This same week, next Wednesday to be precise, the presentation of Samsung's new mobile phones, the Galaxy S25, will take place. A new generation of cutting-edge Android phones that will bring new features compared to the previous one, many of which are focused on artificial intelligence.
Regarding “hardware”, few new features are expected in the Galaxy S25, apart from the fact that on this occasion all models will use the same processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which will guarantee great performance. Regarding the Galaxy S24, the Ultra model will be the one that brings the most new features in the design, but otherwise, we expect it to be an “evolution” and not a “revolution” compared to last year.
Where Samsung will put the rest is in the “software” with One UI 7, the new version of the customization layer based on Android 15 which will finally reach Samsung users. The Galaxy S25 is expected to introduce many new features, and most of them will have something to do with artificial intelligence. The Galaxy AI was a success and one of the compelling reasons to buy a Galaxy S24, and Samsung wants to repeat that with the Galaxy S25.
The official video leaked by Evan Blass shows that AI-based features will be of great importance in promoting the Galaxy S25. The video, which appears to have been obtained from US carrier AT&T, shows some of the new features users will be able to use on their Galaxy S25, although it is unclear whether they will also be available on the Galaxy S24 and others. Samsung models.
To begin with, the video shows what new morning briefing entitled “Now Brief” which can be activated from the lock screen, and which will use AI to display information that may be useful to us during the day.
For example, the video shows the weather forecast and sleep score, with information about how we slept; Although not displayed, the summary should also show pending tasks for the day and possibly morning news.
The integration of Gemini into Samsung applications will be one of the strong points of these phones compared to the competition. The video shows how AI will be able to work with the messaging applicationallowing us to ask the assistant to search for a restaurant and send the address to our contact, for example.
Photography and video are aspects that have greatly benefited from the arrival of AI, and Samsung will further demonstrate this with “Nightography”, which allows high-quality, high-contrast nighttime videos to be recorded. And once we have saved the video we can use the editor to eliminate unwanted soundslike the wind or background noises, and enhance those we want to hear, like music.
