Download a map of a specific area to navigate offline
Although if we travel around Europe we will not have a problem with data consumption (telephone companies do not charge for roaming service), downloading the maps to view them offline is still a very interesting option and personally it is an option that I usually use. lot.
The reason is that when we travel, we probably spend more time away from a charger and make more intensive use of our mobile phone, which is why we download the maps to consult them offline. This will help us save some battery on a daily basis. Also, not all areas have good coverage, so downloading maps also comes in handy in those situations.
Downloading a map of a specific area to navigate offline is very simple. On Android, just open the Google Maps app and search for a specific location (e.g. London). Then, tap on the name of the site and Tap the icon with the three dots in a vertical position which appears in the upper right corner of the interface, where we will find the option “Download offline map”.
Alternatively, from the initial view, we can tap on our profile image (located in the upper right corner) and look for the “Offline Maps” option.
Indicate what type of vehicle you drive
If you’re planning on using your car to get to your destination, taking a moment to tell Google Maps what type of car you have is a big plus: it can help. save money on your travels

Create a list of places you want to visit
It is a good idea to spend some time creating a list of places you would like to visit during your vacation. This way, you will have all the most important points of interest at hand and you will not forget to visit any of them.
Personally, what I like most about create a list of places I want to visit during my vacation, it is the possibility of knowing at a glance the places closest to my position, such as monuments, points of interest or restaurants. Seeing them all on the map, it is easy to know which ones are closest and to better plan our itinerary.
Although we can save the lists of places privately, it is also possible to share them with other Google Maps users. This can be interesting if you are traveling with other people and want them to have the list on their devices as well.
