There are TV manufacturers who hide an ace up their sleeve to entice you to buy their models: free TV channel services with advertising, known as FAST platforms. Yes, Google also has them but at the moment they are not available in Europe, so if you have a Smart TV with Android TV, unless it is Xiaomi and its Xiaomi TV+, you do not have no more channels. Well, one of these most popular services is Samsung TV Plus from Samsung, which I watch from my TCL Smart TV.
Samsung channels on a TCL? Yes, the main thing is to use Kodi and I will tell you one thing: in addition to being a relatively simple and quick procedure, it has certain advantages over devices that integrate it natively. So this trick will work for both smart TVs with Android TV and Google TV, as well as Chromecast with Google TV.
How to watch Samsung TV Plus channels on smart TVs and devices with Android TV/Google TV
We will only need a few things: to have an Internet connection, to have Kodi installed on your Smart TV (you can also do this on an Android mobile of any brand in an analogous way), something you can do from its website or from the Google Play Store on Android or Android TV/Google TV. However, if you have another brand of television or cell phone, know that the procedure is not far away. For convenience, I use a wireless keyboard with the TV for tasks like writing, but you can do the same with the remote or better yet, use the Google TV app to write from your mobile.
Kodi is a real Swiss army knife capable of playing a long list of content using add-ons, precisely those responsible for making the miracle of watch Samsung TV Plus on TV with Android TV/Google TV.
Now all I have to do is open Kodi, go to the gear icon and follow the following route: ‘File manager’ (“File Manager”) > ‘Add a source’ (“Add a source”). Once inside, write in the box: https://k.slyguy.xyz/ and we give it a name. We confirm by pressing “OK”.
We return to the main screen and go to ‘Additional modules (“Additions”) > »Install from a zip file‘(‘Install from a .zip file). If it asks for permission to install from unknown sources, you will need to grant it to continue with the installation. Then select ‘repository.slyguy.zip’
Back on the main screen, follow this path: ‘Add-ons > ‘Install from repository’ and then in “SlyGuy Repository”. Then go to ‘Additional video modules and locate “Samsung Plus TV”. When you have it, click “Install” and click “OK”.
In a few seconds it will be installed. We can go back to the main screen and in ‘Additional video modules you will meet “Samsung Plus TV” which houses four options. Upon entry ‘Live TV‘ (Live TV) for example, you can choose from which country to watch the channels, since just like in the native version those of your country will be displayed by default, here it is possible to choose. Another added benefit is being able to choose what resolution to display content at.
