In recent days, coronavirus has impacted on a variety of social issues, including in the field of technology. School closures and increased growth of telecommunications have had a dramatic effect on video calls, which record their best prices in human history.
But not all is great for this high increase in the number of calls, from other applications they risk the death of success, as is the case with Zoom these days. Why? We look at what happened to him.
The Google Duo composer confirms this: today is the best day of video calls in history
The coronavirus situation has led to significant growth in video calling applications, the Duo and WebRTC manufacturer confirmed this.
Zoom suffers from a large increase in negative ratios
A few days ago we made a compilation of applications to make video calls where we highlighted Zoom as a video call app. This applicati on is widely available in the US market, and with the increasing use of this style, its use has increased.
These days it is a complex process for large technology companies (Microsoft Teams for example) and operators, so doubling the number of small company users may be deadly. And so it seems to happen with Zoom.
These days, the app has received numerous 1-star ratings on Google Play, some of which have service issues, and some are done in spite of it (being a tool that some kids should use for their online lessons).
The criticism has been huge on Google Play, while the app store continues to maintain a flawless reputation.
There was no major problem with using the app, but these measurements can cause image damage done for many years with Zoom. If Google does not review this case in the Play Store it could kill the app, and it looks like they have begun to take action.
When AndroidPolice revealed the status of Zoom, the app had 118,231 ratings, and as of March 18 at 14:10 they had 97,469, which is a sign that Google has started filtering those unbalanced ratings.
In Spain the situation is further improved
Spanish Commentator Zoom stats on Google Play from 03/18 at 9:48.
Video calls in Spain have started firing since last week, which has made it much easier to filter app comments on Google Play from the beginning of the home rule as much as possible.
As we can see on the graph, this situation was never as bad for Zoom in Spain as it could be in other countries, and that without the full ratings, ideas in Spain, most voted well in the app.
