USA is again plunged into a heat wave, and this time it is particularly persistent. So much so that we are not the only ones to notice it: our iPhone can also be affected to the point where your battery can be permanently damaged.
But when should we start worrying? The iPhone can withstand some heat, but there are set temperature limits
The minimum and maximum temperatures an iPhone can withstand
Apple’s support website is very clear on this: iPhones and iPads withstand temperatures between -20º and 45ºC. They seem like very loose boundaries, but they aren’t so much depending on the situation. The inside of a car parked in the sun can easily get over 45°C, which is why no one recommends leaving an iPhone inside.
This limit also results in the recommendation of Don’t leave iPhone in direct sunlight in places like patios or beaches
What is already more difficult is that we damage the iPhone by leaving it somewhere with temperatures below -20ºC. USA and Mexico are not countries where these temperatures are reached, and it would be a very big mistake if we left our phone in a freezer.
