Our Xiaomi mobile has changed forever with the new operating system, HyperOS. There are really not very significant differences, but yes improved user experience with small adjustments, renewed animations and very complete native applications like the gallery and its hidden functions.
Therefore, it essentially preserves what made MIUI great, a fairly deep customization with which we can get the most out of our Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobile. Including battery compartmentone of the most important aspects of daily life, and which gives us the possibility of adding an icon with the percentage.
Battery icon still present in HyperOS
The battery icon is omnipresent on any Android mobile, and therefore on Xiaomi smartphones. By default, it is displayed in the upper right corner and graphically indicates what percentage of battery do we have left? every moment. In HyperOS it is of course maintained, although it allows us to change the style.
In this way, in addition to descriptive icon we can add information next to it. Specifically, battery percentage and some variations you can use by following a few simple steps:
- Open “Settings” on your Xiaomi mobile with HyperOS. It’s the gear or cogwheel icon.
- Under the connectivity options, you must press “Notifications and status bar” to customize this area of the system.
- On the next screen, there is no confusion: you must click on “Battery indicator”
From here we can choose between three different aspects: a black shaded icon that will gradually empty, and two styles with the percentage visible. For correct visualization, the third model makes it easier, since the second shows the percentage inside the icon, which significantly reduces its size.
It is also true that it does not reach the level of customization of the other layers. Not to mention comparing it with that provided in many ROMs, but it is certainly worth knowing at any time how much battery do we have left
If you notice that your Xiaomi mobile is not holding up as well as at first, you can extend the autonomy with a few adjustments. In addition to the obvious: do not install applications that remain in the background, uninstall those that you do not use, avoid high temperatures (for the good of the battery), and apply this tip so that the mobile data is turned off when not in use. Saving battery in HyperOS is as easy as in MIUI, we would say even easier thanks to Battery Protection.
