I have to admit that the title of the article has some sort of catch. I will not explain how to install an SNES emulator to relive those fantastic games like Donkey Kong Country or Super Metroid.
I’ll show you how to transform your Apple TV on an SNES… Externally. Elago has just launched a kit to “tune” your Apple device with an external box, and make it look like what you have connected to the television is the famous Nintendo console, even with its gamepad.
The accessories firm Elago It has been marketing different cases for some time to transform the look of some Apple devices with vintage designs of different consoles.
And this time it was Apple TV’s turn. The firm has just put on sale a case for the Apple device which makes it look like a super nintendo. The pack also includes a cover for the controller, which turns it into an SNES gamepad.
Elago has it for sale in two different colors. The traditional light gray will be more reminiscent of the classic SNES design, but also you can choose dark gray model which offers a different look from the original console.
New outer shell for Apple TV elago T4 makes what you have connected to your TV look like a Super NES console from the 1990s. Like other elago products, the new accessory features a silicone sleeve that wraps around your Apple TV.
In its design, you will see all the ports you can remember from the SNES, including two controllers on the front and a cartridge slot on the top. Obviously, they are more wrong than peepholes. The functional ports are still those of the Apple TV, with its rear access including HDMI and power supply.
he Front LED Apple TV also serves as a status indicator with the SNES box attached. A very cool accessory that will not leave your visitors indifferent when they see it in your living room.
