From Google Play on a mobile, you can install applications on your other phones with remote installation, but we were missing the opposite: remote uninstallation. This was leaked late last year and is now finally enabled for users.
Remote uninstallation of applications allows us order the deactivation of an application on one of our devices from another. For example, we can uninstall a game from our tablet using Google Play on our mobile.
Remote uninstallation comes to Google Play
Something we’ve always been able to do on Google Play is install apps remotely. Initially, from the web version of Google Play, but for several years this has also been possible with the Google Play application on mobile. What we couldn’t do was uninstall apps remotely.
This is finally starting to be possible for users, since Google is now activating the new feature. This way you can use Google Play to manage applications from another of your mobile phones or tabletswithout having to handle them.
You can see if you’re one of the lucky ones by opening Google Play, tapping your profile picture, entering Manage apps & devices, then going to the Manage tab. If remote uninstallation is enabled, you will see a drop-down list with your devices
After switching to another device, the rest is as usual: you check the boxes of the apps you want to uninstall then press the trash button. The pop-up window warns us that the uninstallation does not take place on the current device, but on the one we chose before.
This change will make your job easier manage your Android phones and tablets without having to handle them one by one. Remote uninstall is now rolling out to some users, although it may take a while to appear for everyone.
