We were able to spend a few weeks using the Vivo Air TWS, one of the lightest headphones we’ve found in recent times and whose design we almost completely liked.

And it is that, these do not have pads, something that, as you will see later, marked the experience with themAt least in my case.
Even though it doesn’t have to be bad if you want to stay in touch with your surroundings while wearing them. Is it so Available in three different colors and now you can buy them in Europe.

A cushionless design that doesn’t fit all ears
One of the worst sections of these earphones is the design, since Vivo has opted for an earpadless design, which does not suit all ears in the same way and which may or may not suit you perfectly.
In my case it was the latter, and the truth is that despite the fact that they are not loose in the ear, you notice that there is some looseness when you put them on, which doesn’t provide the best experience, at least in my particular case.
When you play sports and go to the gym, they are not highly recommended if they are baggy. Moreover, it has the disadvantage that, if you stay like this, outside noise will sneak into your ear, blend in with what you’re listening to at the time.
The pads, in addition to preventing sound from passing through, They also improve support. Since there are different sizes, you can choose the one that best suits your ear shape. In this sense, they could be totally different headphones if the company had opted for the pads, although not all of them are disadvantages.
A sound that is not bad, but which raises doubts
This, yes, You can choose between three different modes, which are the one that enhances the bass, another that enhances the treble and finally the one that makes the voices heard more clearly.
They are a great alternative if, as is the case with Sony LinkBuds, what you are looking for is always hear ambient sound around you. Not all headphones are aimed at the same audience, after all.
If you want noise isolation this isn’t what you’re looking for, but if you need to keep in touch with the outdoors while wearing them this is a good option because the mixture of the two sound sources does not seem artificial.
The sound quality itself is good, however, in my opinion, this noise cancellation is a miss, be active or passive. It is possible that, depending on the shape of your ear, they isolate you more or less. In my case, it was the latter.
Their autonomy is not very high, but they have fast charging
The Vivo TWS Air has a battery life of 4.5 hours in each of the earphones, which can be extended up to 25 hours with the load that the box has.
Thanks to their fast charging, they can have an hour and a half of battery with only 10 minutes of chargewhich can save you those times when you have to go out, or you just want to put on your headphones and you realize you’re out of battery.
In this section they do a decent job, and we can understand that they do not have a great autonomy due to their size and weight, because They are very light and compact headphones.
There are times when manufacturers sacrifice these sections in favor of noise cancellation technology or a larger battery for the headphones, but in this case it is the opposite.
connectivity
They have Fast Pair from Google, which allows them to quickly connect with the mobile, both the first time you use them, and the rest of successive times. A point very much in favor of Vivo.
In fact, I didn’t even have to configure them, since as soon as the cover of the headphones was opened next to the mobile, they appeared on the screen as a new device available to be paired.
conclusion
The Vivo Air TWS are quite interesting headphones, although it is true that They are not for everyone due to the finish of your earphones which, having no cushions, will not fit optimally in any ear.
Its sound is good though there are times when it hurts to be a bit metallic, something that’s usually fixed by opening the headset settings and changing the sound mode to boost bass.
In the field of design we liked Due to their compact size and low weight, even with the box, which will allow you to carry them very comfortably in your pocket wherever you go, which can be practical for, for example, taking them to the gym.
This is a set of headphones in which we missed the active noise cancellation, although if what you want is not total isolation, but to know a little more about what is happening around you, they are a very good alternative.
Its autonomy is not excessively high, since it is about four hours for each earphone, even if by adding the charge of the box you can reach more than 20 hours of autonomy, and with just ten minutes of charging, you can enjoy up to an hour and a half of battery life, which can be useful for occasions when you don’t have much time to recharge them.
If you are looking for lightness and a very compact size, these are your headphones, although you should bear in mind that these don’t even have earpads to fit your ear, so you’ll need to assess whether it’s worth it in that regard.
