If anyone doubted Vivo’s intentions in the folding sector, they should already be canceled. A year ago, the company presented its first mobile of this style to us with the Vivo X Fold. At the end of the year, it launched the Vivo X Fold+ as an upgraded version and now presents its two new bets with the Vivo X Fold 2 and the Vivo X Flip.
From ‘Fold 2’ we can say that It retains its essence, although it improves its performance. And it is that looking at its specifications we find a terminal that today is positioned as one of the most powerful foldables on the market.

A performance and battery tune-up
Folding this mobile does not change its book format, nor the quality of its panel. The outside, i.e. what you see when folded, is a 6.53-inch AMOLED with a ratio of 21:9 very similar to that of an ordinary mobile and without losing 120 Hz to give it fluidity.
We find a larger diagonal by unfolding it with a panel of 8.03 inches with AMOLED LTPO technology. This is what makes it possible to reach up to 120 Hz, but with a variable rate from 1 Hz which makes consumption more efficient.
Vivo does not abandon the idea of introducing a Qualcomm heart in its foldables nor does it make them mount the most advanced that exists to date. Thus, we find the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a configuration of 12 GB of LPDDR4X type RAM. When it comes to storage, it again offers storage options 256 and 512 GB UFS 4.0. The latter is an interesting advance since the previous ones had UFS 3.1 memories.
In the battery it is not that we see a huge jump, but the capacity has been increased at the 4,800mAh. Although the big improvement is that while it maintains 50W wireless fast charging, increases maximum charging power to 120W
The cameras lost a sensor along the way, which remains to be seen how well that shows. Heads the bet a main objective Sony IMX866V 50 megapixel that they accompany a 12-megapixel Sony IMX633 wide-angle and telephoto lens. Among the main ones, the presence of optical image stabilization particularly stands out. AND for 16-megapixel selfiessomething that a priori does not change compared to the Vivo X Fold +, but worsens the resolution offered by the original ‘X Fold’ with 32 megapixels.
Vivo X Fold 2 versions and prices
Without knowing its possible deployment, for the moment the Vivo X Fold 2 is on sale in China. In this country you can buy black, blue or red color, having in each of them a synthetic finish that imitates leather. The price, as usual, depends on the chosen memory capacity:
- Vivo X Fold 2 12/256GB: 8,999 yuan (about 1,192.87 dollars to change)
- Vivo X Fold 2 12/512 GB: 9,999 yuan (about 1,325.43 dollars to change)
