A few weeks ago, Xiaomi updated one of the company’s most used connectivity apps, my haircut. This application is the one that controls the Xiaomi Mi Band, as well as other portable devices of the company, among which the future Xiaomi MI Band 7 will surely be.
The change of application is not radical at all, but it allows to better take advantage of the large screens of the mobiles that we use today.
A main screen with more elements
The biggest change in this version is seen on the main screen, which gains a lot of space for things like the sleep log at the cost of mobile access to sports. These elements are customizable and we can not only move them but choose the ones we see here.
Quantification of sports activity (Run, Bike, and Walk) is now done in a new button that appears at the bottom of the screen, alongside the three that were previously.
The friends page does not change, except for a gray background which makes the two central buttons occupy more.
The profile section and app settings do not change at all, remaining the same in both versions.
New training tab
We see changes in the training tab, which is the new section at the bottom of the app. In it, we can access the three actions that we discussed earlier. Walking lights up green, running lights up blue, and cycling lights up purple. Of course, there are changes in the size of certain elements, such as the main screen counter.
Changes in color tones are also appreciated, but this is purely aesthetic.
As you can see, it’s not a huge change and it looks like Xiaomi lives up to the maxim that if something works better, don’t touch it.
If you still do not get this interface, check that you have installed the update from the Play Store and that the version you have is 5.6 or higher.
