If you were expecting the Apple Glasses for this 2023 or even for 2024, I’m sorry to tell you that the new rumors indicate that it will not happen. Much has been said about this product over the past year. In fact, we saw renders that established what it would look like, taking into account all the rumors that surfaced. We even knew that the size of the battery, its duration, even the price had been rumored. But now everything indicates that until at least, 2026 or even 2027
Apple’s virtual reality glasses have been one of the most talked about topics in recent months by analysts and the Apple industry. So much so that rumors had already shaped what these future glasses would be. Its characteristics would also be almost clear to us and even their price, which was going to be almost prohibitive. But now new reports say it’s better to sit back and wait because at least until 2026 or 2027 we won’t see such a model on the market.
The reason for this delay is given by analyst Kuo, who gives a name to the reason for this delay: metal lens.
According to a report by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the first appearance of the metalens will go into mass production in 2024 for use in Face ID with the iPad Pro. If successful, the iPhone will adopt metalens for Face ID in 2025 or 2026. Eventually, the technology would be used for augmented reality glasses meant to display real-world content. Kuo says that Apple’s glasses would go into production in 2026 or 2027 at the earliest.
Then after its use in glasses, the metalens would be generalized and would reach all Apple devices. So if Kuo says so, will have to wait.
