iOS 17

iOS 17 has officially been with us for four months and there are still many features that were promised and haven’t arrived yet. iOS 17.3 will arrive early this year and it’s a good move on Apple’s part to introduce some of it. On the other hand, iOS 18 will be presented at WWDC24 in June. Before then, pools will start predicting what new features will be introduced in Apple’s new operating system. But before… Let’s make a list of the iOS 17 and iOS 18 features that we expect for this new 2024 feature.

Hint

iOS 17 will end in 2024 and iOS 18 will begin its journey

We start this list without a doubt with one of the most anticipated functions since June of this year: Shared playlists on Apple Music. This feature was threatened several times after its appearance in developer betas, but Apple has not decided on any final version, causing slight user fatigue. It is very likely that in iOS 17.3 this function will finally appear as we have seen in recent days.

Another feature that Apple has postponed until 2024 is the AirPlay compatibility with hotel rooms which was also presented in June during the presentation of iOS 17. However, a few weeks ago Apple announced its presentation for early 2024. Remember that this function would allow us to transfer audiovisual content from our devices to televisions hotels.

Without a doubt, one of the flagship functions of iOS 18 will be artificial intelligence which will have much greater and significant value than what is currently available through machine learning. The first one, the application of the RCS multiplatform messaging standard in Apple Messages which will probably arrive with iOS 18 and will end a controversy that has lasted for many years. And finally, the possible iOS Roadside Assistance Expansion in more places than the United States, a way to increase the iPhone’s ability to act in emergency situations.
