Chatbots are one of the most popular uses for artificial intelligence platforms today, and for several years now. WhatsApp even has its own Meta AI, as well as access to third-party chatbots, like LuzIA, among others.
Now the platform part of Meta wants all users to be able to create our own personalized chatbotsadapted to our specific needs, and which can respond to our requests, all directly from the same application that we use to chat with our contacts.
WhatsApp will be filled with AI: it will be possible to create personalized chatbots
The possibility of creating personalized chatbots was discovered recently WhatsApp beta for Androidthe most recent version in development of the application, by WaBetaInfo.
The platform will call this feature “Create AI Character”, and will even offer the possibility of using templates designed by the WhatsApp team when creating the chatbot. For example, we can ask WhatsApp to create a chatbot who is a very experienced chef who helps us with recipes and cooking tips, or a character who is an expert on a subject, or even create a comedian who makes us laugh with his jokes . . The idea is that we can create chatbots that help us in our tasks and in general to be more productiveor that they are simply dedicated to our entertainment.

This tool is currently under development and should reach users of the platform in the future. We do not yet know many details about how the creation of personalized chatbots in WhatsApp works and the possibility of sharing our creations with other users, although we can hope that this will be possible, thanks to another change in the interface under developmentwhich we will discuss below.

At WhatsApp, they are clearly very interested in improving the artificial intelligence tools and chatbots on the platform. Another discovery in the beta version of the application, also by WaBetaInfo, discovered a new interface for the application, in which they replaced the tab with direct access to the Communities section with a new tab dedicated to “Popular AI Characters”.
Communities won't disappear from WhatsApp, but the app is changing the way we can access them, favoring artificial intelligence and chatbots. This change in the WhatsApp interface is also under development, it is not known when it will reach the application in its final version.
