WhatsApp has introduced some exciting new features to its service in its May software updates. Besides the introduction of its artificial intelligence service, one of the most interesting functions is a tool with WhatsApp chat filters and now one has been added new filter further away.
WhatsApp chat filters officially arrived on iPhone in late May and included options to filter chats into three categories: All, unread and groups.
Well, WhatsApp has now included an additional category for its filters. Keep reading to find out more details about this new feature in the world’s most popular messaging app.

You may not see the new Favorites filter in this tool, if this is the case, know that the update is now official and will arrive in the coming days.
How WhatsApp chat filters work is very simple. When you click on one of the filters, only chat conversations related to that filter will appear.. For example, this way you can filter only group chats, chats with unread messages and now also chats that you mark as favorites.
In addition, the new WhatsApp update also highlights the recent arrival of WhatsApp Access Keys, a method to log in more comfortably with facial recognition (Face ID) or fingerprints (Touch ID) on all platforms.
The new WhatsApp function will be very useful for many users
The new Favorites filter for WhatsApp chats is now available in the user interface of the messaging application via its latest update (v. 11.24.85) for iPhone from the App Store. But this filter is also available on Android (v. 2.24.12.7) for all users who want to access their highest priority discussions more quickly.
I really like that WhatsApp continues to gradually integrate new features such as chat filters. It is one of the most used applications internationally and it is commendable to see how Meta’s software engineers continue to launch new features that enrich the WhatsApp user experience on iOS and Android.
Finally, it is also worth adding that WhatsApp is adding a new feature for States with priority for the contacts most relevant to you.
