This time the novelty comes from the desktop app beta. The new feature allows users see whatsapp status directly from the chat tray no need to click on the “States” tab.
These states came to the app a few years ago by mimicking Instagram stories, and previously Snapchat stories, which were so popular among users. However, they haven’t made as much noise as the WhatsApp team expected, but they are still available and their use is becoming more and more obvious.
