WhatsApp will soon let you see chat tray statuses

whatsapp states

The WhatsApp machinery is more than oiled. The novelties follow one another month after month and all have the same importance. Among the latest new features are the Communities or the ability to send files up to 2GB or to carry out group surveys. This is why the public betas available among users registered in the beta program get all this news. Among them there is a novelty and that is the ability to view WhatsApp statuses directly from the chat board.

A small change that could increase the use of the feature among users.

See whatsapp status from chat tray, very soon

The information comes from the hand of the well-known website WABetaInfo which is responsible for analyzing all the news of WhatsApp betas for all devices. This time the novelty comes from the desktop app beta. The new feature allows users see whatsapp status directly from the chat tray no need to click on the “States” tab.

These states came to the app a few years ago by mimicking Instagram stories, and previously Snapchat stories, which were so popular among users. However, they haven’t made as much noise as the WhatsApp team expected, but they are still available and their use is becoming more and more obvious.

this novelty it will make it possible to access the states by tapping on the profile picture of a certain user. If you press on the profile picture, we access the states. If you click on the box where we have your message and your name, we will access the chat. There are doubts as to whether with this WhatsApp wants to eliminate the States tab in the iOS and Android versions, thus leaving room for Communities.

This feature is available in WhatsApp Desktop beta, but will soon be available in mobile betas. Being a simple feature, we don’t expect it to take long to release if the company considers it a good launch.
