We already know what the version of macOS that launches this 2021 will be called: macOS Monterey. We also know what new features it will bring in the form of interface, functions and features. And now we also know which Macs and MacBooks it will be compatible with.
The next macOS update was announced on June 7, coinciding with the celebration of WWDC 2021. Apple took advantage of this conference, logically, to present all the new features of macOS Monterey.
Will your Mac or MacBook be compatible with macOS Monterey?
Before looking at our list, you need to check what year your Mac is. It doesn’t have to be the year you bought it, so go to “About This Mac” and look at the year in parentheses. You will also be able to identify which model it is.
Now yes, these are the models compatible with macOS Monterey:
- MacBook 2015 or later
- MacBook Air (Intel) Early 2015 or later
- 2020 MacBook Air (M1)
- MacBook Pro (Intel) Early 2015 or later
- 2020 MacBook Pro (M1)
- Mac mini from late 2014 or later
- iMac from late 2015 or later
- iMac (M1) on 2021
- iMac Pro 2017 or later
- Mac Pro from late 2013 or later
