2024 ends and most phones are not yet updated to Android 15, but little by little more and more models are joining the list. With most of the timelines already confirmed, Motorola also has its respective rollout dates. Additionally, this manufacturer has a tester making it easier to know when an update will be ready.
From the mid-range and accessible range, embodied by the famous Moto G, to the foldable phones which appear at the top of the ranking, the Motorola Razr 50: the majority of recent phones will receive Android 15 in the coming months. Not only the main stable update, but also relevant security fixes. It is useful to know when these new versions will be available.

“Will my device receive the next Android update?
As we said, the brand has an update schedule with a list of dates. These dates are approximate and do not imply that the release of the update will immediately reach all models: there can always be delays depending on the country, the operator who sold the phone and other factors, such as possible bugs detected during betas.
Android 15 will be distributed gradually and starting with the latest and highest-end models. The Razr 50 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra are among the first to be updated, as detailed in the schedule and tool that Motorola offers on its website. To check the status of your mobile, follow these steps:
- Open a browser on your Motorola phone.
- Go to this web page.
- You will see that a questionnaire appears where Europe appears by default (the link URL is Spanish). If you are in another country the website will give you the option to choose it.
- Choose where you purchased your phone. If it comes from a carrier, check it. Then click next.
- Choose your Motorola mobile phone from all possible phones.
- You will see the status of the Android 15 update and the expected date of its rollout. Motorola will also notify you if security patches are available.
Checking for pending updates on Motorola phones
In case Android 15 already appears in extension, go to the settings of your Motorola, enter “System updates” and click on “Check for updates”. You probably haven't gotten the new version yet: it may take a while between the availability notice and its download from the phone.
