The new Movie API is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac with iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17 and macOS Sonoma. Apple claims that the The API offers the full range of features supported by this video format. Cinematic Frame lets you add pro-level movie playback and editing features, shot with the Camera app’s Cinematic mode, to your apps. For example, it allows your apps to change focus distance and aperture in movies, creating a bokeh effect even after recording. »
Cinematic Mode debuted in the Camera app starting with the iPhone 13. Inspired by professional Hollywood films, the feature uses the iPhone 13’s camera to detect items that are about to be shot. enter the scene, using the wide angle of the camera, in which it is also located. responsible for preparing both the CPU and the GPU to change focus if necessary.
Recording videos in cinema mode is very simple and added to the new possibilities offered by Apple for editing in this formatwe can only be excepted by the future results, which we surely cannot stop seeing.
Of course, iOS 17 doesn’t automatically make all video editing apps work with Cinematic mode videos. Developers will need to use the Cinematic API to implement this feature in their apps.which may take some time.
As per usual, Apple did not share the official release date of iOS 17although we know that it will be throughout the month of September, right after the presentation of the iPhone 15.
