Although its launch has somehow been ignored, especially in regions outside of India, Xiaomi launched in 2019 a new keyboard app, "Mint Keyboard" – not to be confused with Mint Browser, Xiaomi's web browser -, created in collaboration with developers Bobble AI. At the time, the application was offered as another default keyboard installed on the iconic phones, which Xiaomi owners could keep or would not be able to download and use.
However, this situation was about to change. Or at least this is proven by the developer CEO mentioned in the interview given BGR, where he said that The Mint keyboard will soon become the default keyboard app for Xiaomi phones.
The Mint keyboard will be automatically installed on Xiaomi phones
According to the CEO himself, The Mint keyboard is already included in a good number of product phones for sale in India, and the idea is that the app becomes part of set of pre-installed apps up to MIUI 11. So far, of course, everything seems to indicate that this rating will only be made on those devices set for the Indian market initially, even though from Booble AI they confirm the intention to expand its European field presence sometime in the following year 2021.
The Mint app is officially part of MIUI 11 and is currently being downloaded to Xiaomi devices across India. While there are more than 85 million Xiaomi smartphones, we initially wanted an installation base of almost 5 million devices.
Among the functions of this keyboard, there is the opportunity to choose between different custom themes, sticky stickers and integrated GIF search, quick intelligent answers and many other tools. In addition, its creators confirm that it's about a keyboard that works better in conjunction with other Xiaomi-based ecosystem services because of the variety of combinations you have, and the fact that among the information collected from users there is a small amount of information to enhance the experience.
On the other hand, even if only new product calls will come with the pre-installed Mint Keyboard, anyone who wants to can download and install the application yourself, either through Google Play – only available in India – or by installing an application-friendly APK file, available on APKMirror.
